this is my food diary.
i wanted to track what i eat in order to
a) make sure i'm eating healthy .
b)try to introduce new meals into my cooking rotation.
c) get inspired to try new ingredients.
d ) remember how to make the the experiments that turned out well.
e) try to be more aware of the stuff i eat and it's origins & safety.
breakfast (noon)
large glass of orange juice & water
homemade multi-grain porridge
porridge :
3 cups boiling water
1 cup vanilla soy milk
1/3 cup organic cracked wheat
1/3 cup whole millet
1/4 cup organic quioa
heaping tablespoon flax seeds
heaping tablespoon sesame seeds
sprinkling of cinnamon
2 tablespoons succanat
1 cup organic rolled oats
2 apples , diced
ok put everything into the rapidly boiling water/soy milk EXCEPT for the apples and rolled oats.
let boil 10 minutes
reduce heat to a simmer and add rolled oats and fruit and cook about 2 minutes
serve with maple syrup & flax oil
snack (3:30)
2 deep fried veggie samosas (take out) with mint chutney
1 minola
glass of water
large mug of oat straw/matte tea
